I have just started pictures-of-people.com: A collection of albums of people pictures and now open to others to host their albums with us. I love digital photography and over time I have shot thousands upon thousands of digital photos of various subjects. I love people and I love to capture the moments on people’s faces and their physical moments. Some argue that you get the best pictures of people when the subject is posing, others think otherwise. I just take them all and let people decide which is best.
A picture is worth a thousand words. I believe photography is an art, and a piece of artwork becomes worthless unless it is shared and appreciated by other people. Sharing photos isn’t always an easy thing. Now that digital photography has pretty much replaced traditional film, and with everybody getting broadband internet access at home, sharing photos with family and friends (and even strangers) had just become so much easier.
If you would like to add and contribute to our collection of photos of people, you are more than welcomed to do so. Please contact me on AIM (screename: uclaboyz) and I can arrange to have an album set up for you to manage and upload. You will have an exclusive website address such as http://www.pictures-of-people.com/gallery/John. I have categorized my pictures of people collection into a dozen or more albums, each focusing on a common theme, such as pictures of people smiling, pictures of people laughing, pictures of people working, pictures of people swimming, and so on.
A quick word about why you should consider using pictures-of-people.com to host your albums. First of all, I’m providing this service to you for free. Second and not least, the album software and script is just outstanding and uploading pictures from your PC can be done as easy as drag-and-drop. If you want to see how your album will look like, have a look at our albums via the link below.
Also, I’d like to give my rave to my dSLR camera, the Canon 20D. With more than 8 megapixels of sensor resolution and the speed of the camera (less than a fraction of a second to turn on and shoot) you are sure you will not miss the moment. Although there is a learning curve to a pro-consumer dSLR camera but once you learn the basic techniques and skills you will also fall in love with a Canon 20D because there is just so much features that a beginner photographer would not know (and so much cool effects you can do with this camera).
