What’s your American Dream?

What is your American Dream? The American Dream use to be owning your own home, and it has become more so with the early 2000 housing price boom, that has many young professionals, new college graduates, and people who dream of owning a home pulling their hair.

My American Dream says different. You see, the poor people and the middle-class look at a home as their biggest investment of their life; they look at owning a home as an asset. In fact, your home is most likely your biggest liability you have. Think about it, you typically purchase your home and get a 30 year mortgage. Everyday people go to work, and for what? They almost have to because they have a house mortgage to pay, for the next 30 years. And when you can not make the mortgage payment, your lender will not likely to let you “slide” like a landlord would to a tenant. You endanger yourself for foreclosure.

So, what is your American Dream then?
