Some guys think that Valentine’s day is just a day to compete with other guys to see who can afford the most roses. Some guys argue that everyday should be valentine’s day, so why bother doing extra things on that special day (lame excuse! I sure you don’t feel the same for your anniversaries or your birthdays!). To me, Valentine’s day is a day when I make a promise for a better life for the both of us, other than making time to spend with my valentine as she has requested this morning =)

You are the one who kisses me every morning before heading off to work.
You are the one who returns from work and does my dirty laundries.
You are the one who supports me during teeth-grinding moments.
You are the one who others refer to as “the better half.”
Thank you for your generosity and your love, for without it, I will only be a headless fruit fly. Thank you for all those years that you had to put up with me, for putting up with my “quirks” and practicality, and for nights that you had to go to bed alone.
I promise all will change for the better. I promise to give you warmth every night. I promise that by the next Valentine’s day you will no longer need to wake up before sunshine to go to work. I promise to fulfill the dreams that I have sold to you. This, my Valentine, is my lame excuse for not buying you roses or diamonds today.
